Dr. Cari Dawson
Dr. Dawson began her undergraduate studies at Bucknell University and graduated from the University of Colorado with a BA in biology. She received her medical degree from the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center and was elected into the national medical honor society Alpha Omega Alpha. She completed her Internal Medicine internship and residency at UCHSC. Dr. Dawson received multiple awards for excellence in Internal Medicine which culminated in the honor of Chief Resident.
Dr. Dawson, a Diplomate of the American Board of Internal Medicine, has been practicing Internal Medicine since 2001 at Rose Hospital. She has a clinical faculty appointment at UCHSC and has mentored many medical students and residents. She has been recognized as a 5280 Magazine "Top Internal Medicine Doctor" by her peers for 2021, 2023, and 2024.
Dr. Dawson’s interests include preventative medicine, cardiovascular health and women’s health. When she is not practicing medicine she enjoys exercising, the outdoors, travel and spending time with her husband and their three children.
Dr. Alex Goldsmith
Dr. Goldsmith received his undergraduate degree and Master's degree in Biology from the University of Denver. He attended medical school at the University of Colorado. He completed his medical residency at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center. He is board certified in Internal Medicine.
Dr. Goldsmith was chosen a "Top Doctor to the Quality Assessment Committee" for Rose Hospital. Additionally, he has been recognized as a 5280 Magazine "Top Internal Medicine Doctor" by his peers for 2021, 2023, and 2024.

Dr. Chitra Peddada
Dr. Peddada is a board-certified Internist with 25 years of experience providing exceptional, patient-centered care.
Dr. Peddada joins us from Touchstone Internal Medicine, a concierge practice in the Broadmoor neighborhood of Colorado Springs. She holds a clinical faculty appointment at the University of Colorado School of Medicine and was involved in mentoring of medical students.
She completed her education and internship at Yale University and her residency at Washington University in St. Louis. Her career includes serving as an Assistant Clinical Professor at UCLA in Santa Monica and as the Director of Cardiac and Pulmonary Rehabilitation at Penrose Hospital in Colorado Springs.
Recognized for her dedication and expertise, Dr. Peddada has been voted Top Doctor in Colorado Springs multiple times.
Dr.Peddada has a strong interest in cardiovascular and metabolic prevention and the management of chronic diseases along with women’s health. She believes in delivering compassionate, personalized care and emphasizing the importance of treating the whole patient—addressing not only medical conditions but also promoting proper nutrition, regular exercise, and mental health as essential components of overall well-being.
Outside of medicine, she enjoys exercising, traveling, knitting, and spending time with her husband and two children.
Dr. Jonathan Zonca
Dr. Zonca graduated from Michigan State University Honors College with a degree in Physiology. He received his medical degree from The College of Human Medicine at Michigan State as the first member of the Medical Scholars program. He began his medical career in Colorado at the Rose Hospital Family Medicine residency at UCHSC.
Dr. Zonca has been practicing medicine as a Board-Certified Family Physician on the Rose Medical Center Campus since 2002. He has been active with The American Academy of Family Physicians serving on national committees to advocate for legislative change and nutrition education in medical school. Dr Zonca achieved the degree of Fellow of Family Medicine in 2016 and has served Rose Hospital as the Chair of the Department of Family Medicine 2006-2010. He has won clinical awards including the Pfizer Teacher Development Award. Dr Zonca has been recognized as a 5280 “Top Doc” for Family medicine 2006 thru 2018 and 2023, 2024 and 2025 and has served as the medical team doctor for the Denver Outlaws lacrosse team from 2015-2020. From 2002 to 2022, he has also served as a clinical assistant professor for medical education for the UCHSC and has been a clinical instructor for the Rocky Vista University school of medicine.
Dr Zonca has clinical interest in Prevention, Cancer screening, and Cardiovascular health including diabetes, blood pressure and weight management. Dr Zonca believes it is foundational to preventive care to know the whole patient, which allows him to take time to understand current disease impact on function. When not practicing medicine Dr Zonca enjoys skiing in the Rocky Mountains, biking, golfing and running. He loves spending time with his wife, four kids and dog.
